Photography Studio Rental Cost in Niagara: 2026 Pricing Guide

Photo from Spring ‘26

We know how much work goes into planning a shoot. We don’t want you to stress about how much, or how little, time you should reserve. Here's exactly what it costs to rent Largo's Loft, our 1,800 sq ft natural light studio in Downtown St. Catharines — and which booking length actually makes sense for the work you need to do.

2026 Studio Rental Pricing:

1–2 hours $140/hour

3–4 hours $130/hour

Half day — 5 hours @ $600

Full day — 9 hours @ $1,000

Extended day — 12 hours @ $1,200

Every booking — even a single hour — includes the full space: three distinct shooting areas, a glam and change room for client prep, a boardroom, a kitchenette with a stocked fridge, two private washrooms, and all furniture and décor. There are no add-on fees for using different zones, and nothing you have to stage yourself. The space is styled, refreshed regularly, and ready when you arrive.

Which Booking Length Is Right for Your Shoot?

One to two hours works beautifully for headshots, a single portrait session, or content days where you know exactly what you need. Many photographers book an hour for a family session and find studio gives them more variety than they expected in that window.

Three to four hours suits branding sessions and multi-person shoots — enough time for outfit changes in the glam room and setups across more than one zone, at a slightly lower hourly rate.

The half day (5 hours) is the sweet spot for client-facing days: back-to-back mini sessions, a brand shoot with hair and makeup on site, or any day where you'd rather not watch the clock.

Full and extended days are built for productions, campaigns, and video work — days with HMUA, catering, and gear. At the extended-day rate, you're paying roughly $100 per hour for a space that would take a drive to Hamilton or Toronto to match.

How This Compares Across the Region

Photography studios are genuinely scarce in Niagara — one of our photographer clients put it plainly: "Photography studios are few and far between the Niagara region." The options that do exist tend to fall into two camps: budget spaces with themed sets and limited new or updated styling pieces, or large scale production studios built for a different kind of work entirely.

Largo's Loft sits in a category of its own here: a natural light studio with an editorial, wabi-sabi aesthetic — organic textures, natural materials, and light that works from every angle. As one photographer wrote after her session: "It's impossible to take a bad photo in there."

That matters to your bottom line, too. Less time fighting the space means less time in post-production, and a beautiful studio does the work for your own brand every time a client walks through the door.

What's Not Included (Because You Don't Need It)

There's no cleaning fee, no per-zone charge, and no rental minimum. If you shoot natural light, you can walk in with your camera and nothing else. Booking is fully self-serve online — pick your date, pick your hours, and it's yours.
